2026

The theme for 2026 will be: Steep the Moment: Infusing Connection, Brewing Progress.  ​​Asians in America have long navigated cultural, social, and educational spaces in which our identities and experiences are misrepresented or rendered invisible. In moments of urgency which open the possibility for progress, meaningful change demands that we unite through our shared experiences and histories. This year's conference, Steep the Moment: Infusing Connection, Brewing Progress, invites us to be fully present; to draw from our lives, our knowledge, and our collective memory, in order to deepen connection and foster forward movement.

Just as tea requires time and care to fully steep, the work of Asian educators involves thoughtful infusion into our classrooms, institutions, and advocacy efforts.

The Local Planning Committee consists of: Ivy Bunnak, Pete Carlson, Peter Cha, Sharon Chia Claros, Karen Fukushima, Drew Ishii, Cathy James, Kimberly Kaz, Kimberly Kim, Sepideah Mohsenian-Rahman, Connie Mohandesi, Tim Rosenwong, Ricco Siasoco, and Garret Tyau.  Student programming faculty are Nishat Alikhan, Jamie Chan, Karen Fukushima, and Asako Kurosako-Jost.  Leadership Lab faculty are: Abe PachikaraGeetha Holdsworth, Kimberly Kaz, Juna Kim McDaid, Dr. Rochelle C. Reodica, Ricco Siasoco, and Kavan Kin-Wing Yee.
